So im going to pick up some cams, and have been looking in to the brian crower cams. There stage 2 cams seem pretty much like the nismo r tune and jwt cams. At the same time bc stage 3 cams would be even better to have for the same price but need the spring kit with it. For the stage 3 cams it say its for fully built motors. Now is this meaning pistons, rods, etc?
Also how hard would it be to replace the springs?
What u guys think of the brian crower cams?

Unless you are extending the rev limit, I'd stick with the stg2 cams. But even 272 seems a bit much for the 6300rpm redline or whatever it is. 272 makes power over 7k rpm if I remember right, I would think something like a 262 degree cam would be ideal for an NA QR with stock rev limit.

So if I was to rise the re limit I need springs retainers, and I can't remember if I would need the 07 specv crank.

yeah you need the springs if you raise the limit. Didn't the BC cams get compared to the JWTs and Nismo and the JWT beat out both?

if you plan on doing anything more aggressive than the JWT cams youre going to have to raise youre idle. As for as your fully built engine question, you may want to give them a call. What about saving the money and putting it toward the 510!

Well I was thinking about it, and wanted more info on the bc cams. Most likly dump the money in the 510. Just need a 350z trans.

Most likely dump the money in the 510.
that sounds like a good plan

seems like the more mods you do to a spec the less reliable it gets

they say you should do the springs if you raise the rev limit, but tony raised his to 7k with stock springs for a long time without issues
