479

I picked this up about 4 months ago.....i was at 210 lbs, heading to the gym every day, losing 1 or 2 lbs, due to the lack of Cardio.

I've been heading up South Mountain every saturday and sunday, the 1st time it took me 1 hour 47 minutes to get up there.

i have seen the progress very quickly, it took me 18 minutes to get up there, while keeping my heart rate at a good place, and burning 3598 calories on average.

I have been preparing my food....no oils or fats, and still going to the gym....i feel great, i see more definition in my face, my legs are looking killer and i feel great.....

I have been reading how some of you are doing it.....this has been a great investment for me. it wasnt cheap, but man...it has helped me out big time.

starting weight 210lbs, as of this morning 189 lbs.

Thanks.....it still wears me out....big time. but the feeling when you are coming down, is awesome. i've hit 39.9 mph on my road bike....it is just amazing.

Granted, the risk of flying off the mountain is still there, but that's a rush.

I definetely think that you should give it a try to burn all those calories.....a bike rental can be as low as $18 dollars a month.

Thanks man.

It is a very nice, and come to find out one of the best and most popular ones out there.
I got a great price on it. got it from my friend.

its a very expensive sport, but every weekend you'll catch me trying to make up up there faster and faster and faster.....the workout is amazing, i ride with 3 other guys, and we push each other to do so. weve gone up and down S. Mountain two or three times in 1 hour....it is awesome, i come home starving, but i allow myself to eat whatever i want due to the amount of Calories that I have burned up. this of course according to my HRM (heart rate monitors, 1 on my bike, the other one on my wrist)

Yeah take it over any sweet jumps?

189 is an awesome improvment, keep it up! I think I would like to get a bike now and ride instead of run, my joints can't take much more abuse from running.

this is a good city for biking no rain and plenty of bike paths. I need to get a bike like that and take it to the next level. I just cruise my mountain bike but its not so great on the roads.

i cant jump with this bike, its built for speed and endurance. and for the ROAD.

The reason why i took this is exactly why you should...Running is the best, but unless we all learn how to run properly at the age of 2 and continue it, we should be fine. Unfortunately not many of us can afford a trainer or a running coach, and by then its too late we're in our 30's and have already caused the damage.

road biking is a great alternative to that. its less stressful on your joints if you do it the right way.

I suggest you get yourself one, however....they are not cheap, and the accessories that you end up wanting with it is up there in price.

Craigslist it....you may get yourself a GREAT bike, at a GREATER price.

Do it....i can always use another roadie on the lanes.

Let me know if there is any way i can help you with it. I have a few extra parts so just ask, i may have it, so you dont waste your money.

Too bad nobody leaves their road bikes outside of 7-11 like the kids with the BMX's do. Otherwise, I'd have at least a dozen road bikes by now.

sell a couple of those BMX bikes, you should be able to buy a road bike with the profit.
