So after tuning the car, I am going to go break into the 14's at Firebird on Friday night. Anyone else going? Look for me in the Red Spec V that will be lighting up the track on my BFG G-Force Drag Radials!!!!

Hahah nahhhh, I'm not pulling much more then that in hp.. But my clutch is dying so its hard to snag launches.. Bleh.. Gotta put my ACT in soon.. I don't know if I can make it, tires are REAL bad and some other stuff needs to get upgraded now...

But we'll see if I have a chance I'll go, plus it'll be good to have someone to hang with while I'm out there anyway.

So what will the rex be doing? AWD is more of a hinderance for autox, unless your racing in the rain. There is not a whole lot of road racing around here unless your a sponsored driver. So unless your going to be rally racing or something what good is a car like that unless you are at least going to drag race it?

The week link in the rex, like most awd cars is the tranny. shifting hard and launching is not the best thing for it. I am sure i will change my mind once i start modifying it but right now stock, i can't expect much better than my fully bolted spec was capable of. I will try to make it out tonight and check you guys out, i want to see what bryan can do in his car now that the weather is perfect and he has the same mods as me, give or take a few minor things.

I ran a WRX from about 20mph up an on ramp yesterday and while he got the jump on me, he didnt pull ahead by much. The AWD drive train loss is quite evident there. Though I know he would have killed me from a stop :)

So unless your going to be rally racing or something what good is a car like that unless you are at least going to drag race it? wow! no offense, but you obviously know nothing about subarus......have you been to an autox/track day? i attend most autox with a group of subarus, and they have the biggest attendance almost every event. our regional champ drives a wrx. if you want to do track days(pir, fir) then check out nasa events......we run most of those too. hpde's arent racing, just having fun on a track and the wrx is perfect for it. we'll be at pir this weekend running if anyones interested. drag racing is not for wrx's but i bet i'll be glad to race you:)

yes clay i do! i could only muster a low 13 thus far......theres no autox this weekend, its a track day at pir put on by Asra. anyone can come out though and run. you'll get a good 80min of track time and instructors for first timers. much more fun than autox, i think. :)

im only trapping around 100. only got to run twice and spent more time figuring out where to shift(redline or sooner). that and launching is a pita. someday i'll go back and practice more. all the info for the track day should be in the link i posted above.

hmmm my trap with the 50shot and just intake was 99. i think with the 75 and h/e, i should be above 100. so a race from a roll would be my only chance :lol:

but i promised myself i'm not gonna spray until i get an SAFC2 installed and tuned. so it'll be a couple weeks. hopefully by SCO night on dec 10th...

SCO night was cancelled. so there will be no racing on the 10th unless we go to speedworld...

and since i'm going out of town next weekend (not this upcoming one) i think i might wait until the 23rd and go hit up firebird. that'll give me a couple weeks to get tuned up and what not. :)
