REVIVED!!!

Rich: I need to replace teh chin padding inside my Fulmer Joust before TurnStyle. Can you get just the inner padding? Their site doesn't have it listed so I can't get a part number.

Yeah, same helmet. Clayton brought it to Autocross, but we couldn't find the chin pad, so I gotta replace it. It'll still be for sale after TurnStyle cause I won't be doing anything track-related that needs a helmet for a little while after this, and I'm buying a yellow one when I do. I don't plan on letting go of this one again until I have money in hand this time though.

Actually, the Fulmer rep I had left the company and the main office doesnt return my calls and emails.

if they don't check for SNELL approval, the ones at walmart will work. But if you want to autocross you will need a snell apporoved helmet.

Yeah I know. That's why I said I wasn't gonna "let it go again" until I had cash in hand. I volunteered to leave it for Team ride alongs the last time I went to TurnStyle. You already had it when you were interested, but I never got cash for it even though we've seen each other a few times since then, so I had Clayton bring it back at Autocross. I was even at the house TWICE and forgot to get it. Nobody's fault. I just figure since I need a helmet, I might as well use the one I own until it's sold. Then I'll get a YELLOW one!!! 8)

Thanks for the info Rich. I'll check a few local dealers and see if anyone can get me that padding in the next 24 hours. :(

Clayton and Heath: if you find that chin pad, can you bring it? It's grey-ish IIRC.

How about fire proof jackets? Summit has some for $50, do you carry them?

There's a helmet shop by my house that I got my helmet from for like 150ish?? Ambers and my helmet cost 3 something together. Both DOT and SNELL aproved. They aren't Fulmer or Simpson though, they are HJCs.
But I'm sure Rich can work something out with you, he's pretty cool like that ;)

I think the Simpsons start at $169. I have been meaning to add more, my bad.

Simpson is the best IMO, but they are a little pricey.

I will add some lower priced ones asap.

We do the double layer jackets...you prolly only want single tho. I will look around for those too.

I dont know brands of helmets or jackets.

Single layer jacket will do. I know Summit sells some for $50 but I'm not sure what brand. I'll try to find out and let you know.

And as far as helmets, as long as its SNELL approved and not very expensive. By they way, I'll need a BIG helmet. I have a huge head... lol

I like my HJC, it was pretty cheap from what I remember also, like 150? I get claustrophobic (sic?) pretty quick with something on my head, and its not really a problem in whatever model I got. I can even get a finger up to my ear to fix it when it flops over and gets pinned to my head lol.
