Reminds me of this shitty fake T/A that a buddy of mine had in High School, although you have a V8, he had a V6.

DestinedtoDie
10-10-2006, 07:11 PM
hahaha...yea actually the T/A and the Formula are exactly the same body, with just a little bit diffrent engine mod and addons, and i'd never buy a sports car with a V8...or an auto tranny, or anycar with an auto tranny for that matter

10-10-2006, 08:08 PM

KAbezon
10-10-2006, 08:13 PM
yeah, I was joking, and that car on there is pretty quick...see how it made short work of those Evos. I wish my car was that fast, or at least faster than Bryans.

Joey, you know that a VQ sentra will NOT be able to pull on my car, right??? They dyno'd one, and it isn't anything impressive as far as numbers go, but its definately more reliable than forced induction because its NA.

I'm not keeping the mototr stock there big guy. I plan on getting at least 350-400whp when I'm done. That should be enough to pull on you.

haha no, tranny is finally finished and should be here in a week or two. Alky injection will happen as soon as a friend of mine hooks it up. Other than that, think BIG, no, no motor swap, it will still be a QR25DE-R

DEFYF8

nope, no SQR, nothing too insane, just something safe enough for 550whp (i said safe enough for, that isn't my goal)

lol safe and 550 whp doesn't make sense to me in a 4 cylinder ;)

I thought about this too.. but is it really worth it? doesnt it take up just about every inch of the engine bay?? ans wont you have major torque steer issues? im not trying to bash you im interested cuz its a kool idea if it all goes ok :)

zander
10-11-2006, 08:39 PM
have you been to the v board? I wouldn't recommend it, but there is a couple VQ sentras there, along with alot of Travis's expertise on the subject. Torque steer wouldn't be bad stock, shouldn't be that much worse then a max or 3.5 altima. Hmm.... reliable 13s... sounds good to me ;)

What's the AZ equivalent of 13's at the track? Keep in mind those times were taken in Louisiana. Stock Specs run mid 15's anywhere in the US but slightly modded ones run 17's in AZ (at least the ones I saw at Imps. vs Doms).

I ran a 15.7 stock, so people can't drive here lol. It was mid to low 80s I think..

Yeah IMports vS Domestics is by no means an accurate measure of how well Specs perform.

Now I hear of people running 15.2 stock, I find it hard to believe, I have even see someone claim high 14s at mid 90 MPH. I know we are above sea level, but our air is pretty good out here, dry and, in the winter, cool, so we should be pulling pretty good times in the state.

there has been one to hit 14.7 stock. i find it hard to believe, tho. not with a full interior and street tires, anyway.

I wanna get to the 15.5 our car is supposed to do. As for the jetta, im hoping lower 15s, high 14s maybe. Full interior and street tires on the both of them.

that spec v at Imp vs Dom couldn't drive worth a crap or was having issues. I think the best he ran all night was a 16.0-ish, I thought it was a QG at first. The specs I've seen at Speedworld run low 15's with basic boltons. I think 15-15.2 is attainable with a perfect run, no wheel hop, good traction/60ft. Not the quickest but you don't hear the hondas chirping in 3rd gear.

15-15.2 stock? like stock tires, full interior, ect? or stock engine with sticky tires, weight reduction, MMIs, torque damper ;)
