what is a CCW?? well i guess cause i don't know what it is i may not be thinking of getting one

CCW is a concealed weapons permit.
Assuming you're 21 or older and have a clean record, an Arizona CCW is simple to obtain. You have to pass a 16 hour training course which costs anywhere from about $65 to $120 and submit an application and a check for $65.
Then you're free to carry a handgun (or other weapons) concealed in most public places. Places you can't carry would be: Schools, any bar or restaraunt that serves alcohol, government buildings, state / federal parks, indian reservations.
IMHO every responsible law abiding citizen should obtain a CCW even if they have no intention of carrying or owning a firearm.

no clue, man. if it's a concealed weapons permit, wouldn't it be a CWP??

it's a permit to Carry a Concealed Weapon. It was named a while back by someone educated in AZ. Not to knock on any native 'zonies, but the system here does suck. In Ill. It is a CWP.

One of these days I plan on it. We even used to host classes at a place I used to work, but I never got around to it. :oops:
